In early civs, money, science and culture are byproducts of trade, and it is up to you to decide which percentage of your trade is allotted to each. It is not about just stacking as many bonuses as you can to get more money and more science. You can actually screw your economy up in CIV. The way the economy works forces you to make painful decisions. If you could only bring one Civ version with you and you were stranded on a deserted island and you could play that version, and only that version of Civ for the rest of your life, which one would you choose and why? Which one would you say is your absolute favorite? Is it the newest one, Civ VI? I own them all from 2 and up I think, and besides Civ II, I just haven't played them much or gotten into them for various reasons, so I don't know too much about each one, and I don't even have a preference. I have bought new Civ versions from time to time and I now have 2-6. I eventually moved on to playing Civ II on a Mac.
